The Islands Book Trust presents… Crofting and a European Future - The Angus Macleod Memorial Lecture by Charles Kennedy MP
The Rt. Hon. Charles Kennedy M.P. delivers a rousing lecture that commemorates the life and work of the late Angus ‘Ease’ Macleod M.B.E. of Calbost, South Lochs, Lewis. This annual event featuring a selection of high profile speakers, has established itself as a highlight of the historical calendar in the Highlands and Islands regularly attracting audiences of over 100. This year Charles Kennedy will speak on ‘Crofting and a European Future’, a highly appropriate subject in view of Angus Macleod’s pioneering work to revamp the Scottish Crofters Union in the 1980s.
