Spinning a Yarn by the Dornoch Spinners
A group of local spinners will be spinning all day in History Links Museum Dornoch. This traditional craft has an important place in Scottish history and heritage. In days gone by it was an important part of the home economy, and also essential to provide wool for knitting. Scots who left their homelands took their spinning skills with them and today there are many keen spinners all around the world who have Scottish roots. Come and join in and suggest links for future spinning activities.
