Scotland, Ink. - How 10 Scottish Books Changed the World
Scotland’s writers have been making names for themselves all over the world for over 500 years, from Robert Burns to J K Rowling. But could you choose 10 Scottish books that have had a truly global impact, changing the course of history as we know it? Publishing Scotland, in conjunction with SAPPHIRE, presents ‘Scotland, Ink.’, an exhibition celebrating 10 books that changed the world. Come and see our choices and join the debate at Eden Court foyer from the 1st to 31st October, free of charge.
To celebrate the launch of the exhibition, Publishing Scotland presents an evening of readings, poetry and performance in Gaelic and English to showcase the very best in Highland writing and publishing. Join Acair Books, Clàr, New Iona Press, Sandstone Press and Whittles Publishing in the Bishop’s Palace for a glass of wine and a celebration of the contemporary Scottish books making a global impact today.
